What is The Ear ?
The Ear is a literary journal based out of a community college in Orange County, CA. We publish previously unpublished poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, and art from both the campus community and national and international writers and artists.
Who can submit to The Ear ?
We want to share the excellent work of students, faculty, staff, and authors and artists well beyond the campus. In order to keep things fair, we read submissions “blind,” so no one knows whose work is being read. This has led to about 50% work from the campus and 50% from the larger community. We’ve published people with all levels of experience: those with several books under their belts, and people being published for the very first time.
